Evangelist Position
EVANGELIST POSITION PCEA Langata Parish is located in Nairobi County, Langata Sub-County, under Milimani South Presbytery. As a Parish we seek to mirror Jesus Christ in totality as we worship God and care for humanity in obedience to the Great Commission.
We are a Bible-believing church guided by key goals of:
- Enhancing worship and spiritual nurture
- Strengthening mission and outreach work
- Building Christian family life within the Parish membership
- Providing an enabling institutional environment for Parish management.
- Promoting social, economic and environmental wellbeing.
To achieve these goals, the Parish wishes to recruit a suitable candidate to serve as Parish Evangelist, working under the supervision of the Minister and Parish Session in:
- Teaching catechumen and discipleship classes
- Pastoral administration duties
- Assisting with Sunday services
- Preaching the Word
- Visiting congregants
- Supporting general pastoral work
- Born-again Christian with a clear call to preach the Word.
- Full member of PCEA, with a written recommendation from the Parish Minister.
- Minimum of a Degree in Theology from a recognized institution or its equivalent. Training in counseling is an added advantage.
- At least 3 years of ministry or evangelistic service, preferably in urban ministry.
- Personal Qualities: Friendly personality, good character, self-driven, and able to plan and implement Parish programs with minimal supervision.
